The best movies cannot be decided in any manner considering that the word best is somewhat subjective. If a movie is watched by a billion viewers, there will be some for whom the movie was excellent or very good whereas for some it would be simply a movie and some of the viewers may mark the same movie as sub standard. The truth is, the artistic acts of a movie can never be quantified despite being a great number of lists being prepared for top ten movies or top 100 listed movies directory for that matter or even the list of best of the century. Furthermore, the views of critics and the viewers continue to change continuously but the movies about whom neither the critics nor the viewers change their positive judgments are the those which can be called as the best movies.

It is not just the title that may bring any movie of 2000 to be the best, there are so many things in a movie which when interact in a true spirit carry the movie to the peak. Grading of the movie relies on the best performance in each forms of art such as acting, direction, script, screenplay, choice of artists, sound, dubbing, editing for that matter you say a thing and it generates an effect.

The suitable way to assess a movie nowadays is to do a survey that is a bit time and effort consuming but may grade a movie to its actual worth. Mostly the movies are rated best or stupid just by the display at the box office. However, a neutral and wide research gives the real results. For a long time it is known that the movies found once in the top list are the one that constantly appear on the top lists as a result of various studies.

Declaration of best movies is not primarily for the points mentioned earlier; in truth it depends on the trend of the time also. The movie “Night Mare on the Elm Street” or “The Predator” gave birth to a trend and at that time, numerous movies were published on similar lines but not all of them could achieve the level of best, only a few did. Movies like Iron Man 2, “date with an angel”, “God father”, “the forest Gump”, “the gladiator”, “the good the bad the ugly” or “walk like a man”, “superman”, “Spiderman” are usually mentioned as all-time best but then again there would be a number of people who would rank these movies nowhere near the best.

There is an agreement among the majority of movie historians, critics, and the viewers that the movies once rated best are obviously among the most critically appreciated, meaningful, and must-see films of their times. They are the movies which leave eternal and remarkable imprints on us. They amuse, captivate, inform, and touch us subconsciously. Most of these best movies were made long time ago and might have been ignored on first release but the time endured test confirmed them as the best.
